Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

checks given to cash advance places

What would happen if a person could not pay back these cash advance places? I have 7 of them at $500 dollars each and my bank account closed. Are these considered bad checks? Can you go to jail for it? Thanks

Re: checks given to cash advance places

No, cash advances are not the equivalent of bad checks nor can one go to jail for having taken them out and being unable to pay them back.

They are simply another form of credit which has been advanced by a creditor, like any other credit, however improvident it may have been for the creditor to do so.
