my mom has a vet bill that is overdue
and the attny for the vet has put a writ
on her and she called the sheriff and
they said that they are going to put a
levy on things in the house but the
house is not in her name is this legal?

The house does not have to be in the name of the judgment debtor for the sheriff to seize and sell personal property in the house which supposedly belongs to the debtor in order to satisfy the judgment.
