contractor hired me on new construction for heat /ac. he was paid by homeowner/bankloan and never paid me. he has filed bankrupt. can i sue the homeowner?

You should be able to file a mechanic's lien against the homeowner's property, if you're still within the allowable timeframes that govern the filing of such liens.
