Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Credit Bureau Dispute

On my husband's credit report, Transunion and Experian, there is a collections entity that should only be under my name. I called the collection agency, (I am actively making monthly payments), and asked why they are reporting under his name, they responded they are not, they don't have his ss#, and it shouldn't be showing. I explained it was, they said I need to dispute through the agency, the only proof they can provide is my original hospitial bill that declares me as the patient. My husband wrote a dispute to the credit bureaus, requesting the removal. This collections entity putting our house purchase on hold until we hear back from the credit bureaus. My question is: What can I do to expedite the dispute procedure against these credit bureaus? We sent the disputed letters, outlining details, and the collections entity concurs it should not be on my husband's credit report, but cannot provide a letter stating this to give to our mortgage company. Please, any advice is appreciated! Thank you.

Re: Credit Bureau Dispute

Other than making sure that the mortgage lender has seen your husband's

report with his version of the facts relating to this debt, I would not know what else to recommend.
