Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
credit card judgement
What is the limit in years that a credit card judgment is held against a person in the state of Virginia and does making payments lessen or lengthen that time?
Thank you

Re: credit card judgement
If filed or recorded in the general district court, such a judgment can be carried on the books for a term of 10 years and renewed for another 10; if in the circuit court, the time limit is 20 years and renewal for another 20.
