Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

credit debt. judgement court date monday

I would like to know the statue of limitations date for the credit card I am going to court for on monday and if there is any way I can get out of them getting a judgement on me, as I am not working at this time I have 3 children and some health issues, but have no health insurance to get them taken care of. I want to know my rights to fight this matter in court.

Lack of resources is, obviously, not a valid defense for the non-payment of a legtimate debt.

Unless you can somehow demonstrate that the creditor or its agents (collectors) violated local, state, or federal consumer protection or other applicable laws, you'll probably be stuck with a judgment, unless you can work out a satisfactory settlement with the creditor prior to the court hearing.
