Re: debt collection

You should first try to settle the matter through negotiation. If your wife is not a party to the debt and you hold title with her jointly as tenants by the entireties, the time share predators will not be able to go after your family home even if they succeed in winning a judgment against you. Nevertheless, you should also bear in mind though, the judgment creditor may be able to garnish your SS pension which, unlike SSI, is apparently attachable by such a creditor.
