debt
received cashiers check from canada sayin i won lottery. cashed the check at bank of america . 3 months later bank says i have to repay because check was fraud, yet they never attempted to find the real source of people that actually wrote check. 7 more months passed since then an now i recieve a warrant in debt. i dont think i should have to repay this and actually i have spent the money . do i have a defense in this? thank you.

You are liable. Between you and your bank, you are responsible for making sure that what you deposit is good. You have a claim against the person who sent it to you, for what that's worth...
