Debts Incurred by a Parent Now Deceased
My father passed away leaving many debts, including hospital bills, bank loans, credit card bills. What should mysister and I do when these places come looking for their money? Neither of us can afford to pay off our father's debts.

Neither you nor your sister is legally responsible for paying off your deceased father's debts. Whatever assets which are in his estate must be used to satisfy these creditors and if there are insufficient or no assets, then they don't get paid or only marginally so.
