Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Not sure what to do. Defensive Arts is trying to collect a debt from 1993. They keep serving me and threatening to survey my belongings. They are not interested in a settlement. Can they really pursue this?

Would seem to be a matter as to whether the applicable statute of limitations(probably five years)has run on their claim----or not.

It's unclear, however, as to what exactly you mean by "They keep serving me and threatening to survey my belongings."
