Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Our next door neighbors moved out the first week of june and ask my children to mow their lawn. The agreement was 15 dollars per week in the yard to be cut on sundays. We were told that they would mail a check once a month. It has been over 2 months and my children have not received anything. The bill is up to 120 dollars. My wife has tried calling and left messages to no avail. Do we have any recourse in this matter? I told my children this week not to cut it anymore until they get paid. They have cut it every week in the dead of the summer. Not fair for 15 and 13 year old girls. How should I handle this matter?

Thank you in advance
