Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I need to file a homestead deed to get back my money so I can afford bankruptcy.

I could do this without any problem but I don't know how the homestead deed I filed around 1998 for a small amount would play into the preparation of the form.the judge has given me until the 21st of this February to get my papers in order.
