Fixed income, unable to continue payments.

Is there a formed letter that a 76 yr. old person can send to creditors stating because of fixed income and medical bills unable to continue to make payments?

No. there is not but why would you need one, as you've already said, basically, what such a letter would need to say (from your point of view)?
