Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I just found out that the man I married in May of 2010 has a $ 100,000.00 debt with a hospital for his first wife. If he dies before me, am I responsible for that debt? Would I have to pay it?

Also, we both own homes. If I die, does my house automatically go to my children and his house automatically go to his children since we both owned them before the marriage?

You do not owe her debt with a hospital. As to the homes, it depends. You need to consult an attorney.
