Garnishment

Got a summons and hearing date is Feb 13 08. One income family (due to medical reasons) of 3 and in bills stacked miles high. We are about 30,000 in debt. Would are best bet to file for bankruptcy or are there other way to avoid this garnishment?

No, given the size of your debt and with apparently only one income to pay on it, it would seem advisable for you at this point to consult with a bankruptcy attorney.
