Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

garnisment

My husband and I have been married under a year - he is in construction and as you know business has been slow lately - his exwife and he have some things in both thier names yet -(our finances are seperate I have mine he has his ) he has missed some payments on his truck , she says she is going to have my wages garnished . Can she do this ?

Your wages cannot be garnished for your spouse's debts.
