hopital bills and credit debt

my husband died last month. but he left hopital bills and credit card debt. he did not leave any money but only house that i still livein. what should i do ?

Assuming that,your deceased husband left no will to probate(since you haven't mentioned any), you should apply to the local probate court to be appointed as the adminstrator of your husband's small estate. (More information would be needed in order to determine what responsibility you might have for the hospital bills and credit card balances, if any, as his surviving spouse.)If you held title with him as a joint tenant with right of survivorship, you should now be the

sole owner of record of this particular property.

However, if you are unsure about the state of the title to your home and what you may need to do to ensure that you are now the sole owner of record, you should arrange to have a local attorney review this particular issue.
