Hospital claiming assets

If a person has no health insurance and incurs a tremendous hospital bill and makes regular payments, cab the hospital seize your assets?

Yes. Bankruptcy is an option if you are unable to make payments.

The hospital(or any other creditor) must first obtain a valid judgment against you for the alleged unpaid balances from an appropriate court before they will be permitted to seize any of your assets. They cannot just start seizing assets without going through the required court process.
