Husbands debt not mine

My husband and I are being sued for a medical bill that belongs to my husband and my question is..........Why am I being sued for my husbands bill and this bill has nothing to do with me?

Medical bills are considered "necessaries" and part of the support that spouses owe to each other. Thus (at least with necessary medical care), spouses can be held jointly liable for each others' medical bills. There are exceptions (were you married after the care was rendered, for example?), but generally both are liable.
