Re: how to improve credit report

You have a right to file up to a 250 word reponse with any of the major credit reporting agencies to any adverse item reported in your credit file, giving your version of the facts of this adverse item reported in your credit file.

You can improve your credit standing through various methods, one of which is obtaining a collateralized credit card, many of which are advertised on the Internet, whereby you deposit with the credit-issuing company a cash deposit which allows you to charge up to that limit with that particular card---and then systematically, make all the payments on time which are due.

You might, also, then apply for a department store credit card(I recommend SEARS), making sure, that if the card is issued to you, that you make all payments due in a timely manner.

Under no circumstances, should you agree to allow others to use these cards or to apply for additional cards for others on your accounts, irrespective of who they may be. (And, yes, I include your mother or sister, in this category!)
