Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

interrogatories

Thanks for answering question explaining what this means. Should I go to court with an attorney? Is it as simple as answering financial questions? I'm a single parent and don't have any assets anyway. My paychecks and a bank account are it, no real estate and stuff like that.

Re: interrogatories

No, you don't need an attorney to appear in court to answer debtor's interrogatories. And, yes, it's "as simple as answering financial questions", but you should bear in mind that these folks will be seeking to garnish your wages and seize any bank accounts that are available to them in order to satisfy whatever judgment(s) that they may have against you.
