Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
judgement
I had ex-in-laws bring a judgement against me which I paid. But, it still shows up on my credit report twice. One under a different first name. Same judgement. But, it looks like two judgements.

Re: judgement
You should submit written notice(up to 250 words) to each of three major credit reporting agencies explaining the discrepancy and noting that the judgment has been paid.
You should also request that your judgment creditors(the in-laws)execute a release of the judgment(since it's apparently been paid) and that it be properly recorded in the
court where it was originally entered against you.
