you said yes they could put a lein the house but could not enforce it because my husband is not on the debt. what if he sold the house could they be entitled to money from the sell. should i take my name off the deed? We also have a joint checking account could the freeze the account.

Yes, if they house were sold, the lien against you would have to be satisfied(paid) as one of the co-owners. I could not advise regarding the second question. If the joint checking account were also held in the names of both spouses by the entireties, it should also be exempt from creditor enforcement.
