Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Judgement Question

A judgment was granted against me for a medical bill I hadn't paid. I did not go to court! I made a few payments as I could. The plaintiff filed a Garnishment Summons in October 05, which they won and was being garnished from my wages at work. I wrote the company a letter in Feb. 06, asking for a current balance due. The letter shows my NEW Address and Phone number. I did NOT get a response. Now, May 06, I received another Garnishment Summons in the mail (not to my NEW address, but my old and forwarded). They have added MORE fees to this one. I have paid over $600 since October 05. What should I do now?

Re: Judgement Question

Your mode of contacting(letter) this company is obviously ineffective. You need to show up at their business premises(if possible)or keep calling on the phone until you're able to talk with someone authorized to accept the reasonable settlement proposal which you're now ready to offer.
