Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Lien from medical bill

I received a notice of lien Mar 2006 on a medical bill the total amount due with all fees included came to $252.85. On 06/13/06 $267.13 was garnished from my checking account. My account was garnished $46.79 09/14/06 from the same creditor. My bank sent, at my request a copy of the 2nd summons, which I have not recieved, and it now has a total balance due of $313.92. It states this is from previous lien. Hearing date 10/23/06, different addresses appear on both summons I have lived at neither. I moved from VA 4yrs ago to NC and all money in this account are exempt(it is VA acct). Was this judgement not satisfied on the first garnishment? The only figures that changed was interest increased $6.07, and garnishment fees increased $55.

Re: Lien from medical bill

Yes, it would appear that the judgment should've been satisfied by the initial garnishment and that you should send notices to all involved in the garnishment action of this fact and with a further demand for appropriate refunds and an immediate cessation to all further garnishment action against you and your accounts.
