Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I lived in Texas and defaulted on several credit cards in December 2005. I moved to Virginia in June 2007. I have never paid or promised to pay on any of the credit cards. What SOL applies to this credit card debt now? 3 yrs? and from the date of default, or the date of my move? If I am sued, I need to know if I can claim (and reasonably win a SOL defense).

Assuming Texas law in regard to the statute of limitations on written contracts is the same as Virginia's, the applicable limitations statute in your situation should be five years from the date of your default.
