Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

"I have a medical bill in Virginia Beach, VA that was originally suppose to be $1000 for getting my tonsils taken out and I paid half of it off. Now I have a bill that is over $3000 and been trying to keep up with my payments but I have been laid off. They are taken me back to court for a second time after they have garnished all of my bank accounts. I need to know what I can do regarding my issue and if there is anyway that I can fight it. I have gotten the bill down to $2800 but it seems to not matter. Please Help"

Why not check it out? (It would appear to me from the facts recounted that you've been systematically victimized by predatory collectors who should now be stopped.)
