My husband recently passed away, he had no medical insurance. Am I responsible for his medical bills and credit card bills? He had a life insurance policy and a will which I was benefiary . Our house has a mortgage and was jointly held with surviorship.

Re: who owes bills when spouse dies?
Your husband's estate should (ordinarily)be responsible for the bills you've mentioned bills. The proceeds from his life insurance policy should be directly payable to you and title to the marital home should now be vested soley in you.
If there is other property would should be probated
under the will, you should arrange for a consultation with an attorney who handles such matters who can further advise you.
