Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I currently have poor credit from medical bills that are in collections and was wondering if I will still be able to pass the character and fitness part of the va bar application. I am supposed to turn in the apllication by December for the February bar exam and am very concerned.

It is my opinion that a bar applicant's credit history is likely to have little

or no bearing with respect to the admission committee's determination as to his or her character and fitness for the practice of law in the Commonwealth (particularly where there are mitigating circumstances that may largely explain an applicant's poor credit history).

This, of course, is only my opinion and you might make further inquiry

on this particular issue of the Virginia State Bar itself located in Richmond.
