Received bad check

I received a check frm the Bishop of my church that I can't cash. Account is closed. The church name which is closed is on the check. How do I get my money back. Yes I have a copy of a agreement signed by the Bishop that I will receive my money which is over 10,000. How do I get my money back, and how do I get his address to take him to court??

Re: Received bad check

First you track this man of apparently soiled cloth down and locate his current address using various Internet resources such as people finder and similar programs. If necessary, you might want to pay a private investigator a few hundred bucks to assist with the locate of this apparent absconder.

And then when you get a good address for him(hopefully in Virginia)where he can be properly served with papers, you sue him for your damages in general district court(most likely with the assistance of an attorney).
