Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
I have just recieved a praecipe from a law firm for a credit card debt, that I do owe but can not pay. I've been working with a debt settlement company and have been able to pay off some other cards but this one is just too much, and I don't know what to do now?

I would suggest that you schedule an appointment for a consultation
with an attorney who handles consumer affairs matters to see whether
you may have any viable defense(s) to the card issuer's claims
in this matter such as the statute of limitations (on open account), failure to present copy of original card agreement signed by you, or, perhaps, other valid defenses.
