Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Repo man will not return personal items

My car was repossessed, I am not arguing the finance company's right to repossess, but the recovery service, will not return my personal things that were inside of my vehicle. They keep telling me I can make an appointment to pick it up, but then they give me saome sort of excuse as to why we can't make an appointment. There are several things in my car that I NEED, ie. carseat, medication, security badge. How long do they have to give it back, and what can I do to get it back?

Re: Repo man will not return personal items

Why not simply go to the impoundment yard or other facility where the vehicle is being stored, and, politely, ask that the items be returned?

(If possible, take a cell phone with you so that

any calls that anyone claims must be made to secure the requisite authority, can be made

"johnny on the spot", as they used to say in times past.)
