Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
Responsibility for debt
I have a major credit card that has been turned over for collection. My mother was an authorized user, not a co-signer, can the collection attempt to collect from my mother?

No, if your mother was not a co-applicant for the card, she cannot be held legally responsible for the debt.
