Retirement System Overpayment

They are saying that until I filled out a form in 2007, they did not know I had a son. Social Security pays me for my son and VRS says if they were paying me for him, they should not have been.

Re: Retirement System Overpayment

If the SSA was paying you a benefit for your son,

it would seem that such a payment was determined by

criteria utilized by that agency rather than any speculated about by the Virginia Retirement System. And, as far as I am aware, VRS does not speak for the Social Security Administration regarding such matters.
