Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
What are the rights for a defendant who has a civil judgement against them and the plaintiff hired an attorney to answer interrogatories and the defendant is summoned to court and the defendant is currently on food stamps and unemployed? What can the court award for collections from the defendent. What can they garnish if the defendant does not own anything? If the defendant recntly started working part time of 200 a week can the courts garnish those wages

If the defendant described has been summoned to appear in court to answer
debtor's interrogatories, he must appear or face the possibility of being sanctioned.
And, yes, if he's making $200 per week, 25% of that could be garnished after
all mandatory deductions.
