Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I'm on social security disability and received a warrant in debt. I owe 30 to 40 thousand dollars to 7 credit cards. Can a judge order me to pay something before I file for bankrupcy in VA. I live alone.

Yes, but only in the event that your petition for bankruptcy has NOT been filed (whereupon all of your creditors listed in the petition would be subject to an automatic stay).
