statutes of limitations

What is the statutes of limitations on a judgement.I have a judgement on a rental agreement.The landlord has passed away, can the heirs collect on this.

Re: statutes of limitations

The estate (executor) or the heirs/devisees (whoever inherits the judgment) can enforce the judgment. The statute of limitations on enforcing a VA judgment is generally 20 years, although General District Court judgments are only enforceable for 10 years unless steps are taken to extend/renew them. Any judgment can be renewed indefinitely.
