Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I was being sued by a credit card company with a previous trial date set for January 24th, 2014.

Last month I received a letter of Nonsuit to be called on January 3, 2014.

Today I received a letter that the plaintiff's lawyer sent to the court asking them to "remove the previously filed Nonsuit from the January 3, 2104 docket and place it on the docket to be called on January 24, 2014."

Does this mean they are simply moving the date that the Nonsuit is called in court, or are they somehow reopening the case for the trial on the 24th?

Most likely the former, i.e., merely moving the date that the nonsuit is called

on the court's docket, but you should receive notice from the court or plaintiff's attorney as to whether this request was granted.
