Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

i was sued for a debt from benefical and now they have tried to garnish my wages but i don't make enough money now i have to appear before the court and answer questions about our property. my name was the only one on loan but my propery is in both names. can they come and get my property that has leins on it and can they get my spouses property that my name is not on??

No, under the circumstances described, this company will not be able to "get" either your spouse's property nor property which you jointly own with this spouse.
