Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I was summonsed to court to answer interrogatories (which i did last year for the same creditor) the court is 90 minutes away at least. i tried to have it moved but was denied. i am a handicapped single mom with no car and no money to give for gas if i had someone to drive me. i did find a ride but their truck broke down tonight so now i am really stuck. what can i do so that they don't arrest me for not going?

It may make sense for you to consider filing bankruptcy to put this whole thing behind you. Otherwise, you have to go, unless you can get the creditor to drop it. Perhaps you could call their lawyer and offer to do it on the phone (they don't have to agree, but it's worth a phone call).
