Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I am being threatened to be arrested for a whole lot of big words I can't pronounce or understand reguarding a un-paid pay day loan. I spoke with the "law firm" that says I owe this money, and I do remember getting the money, the person said if I don't write the a letter with my debit card info and pay the bill I will be locked up Wednesday. Is is safe to fax my debit info to these people?
