Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
There is a unit (say unit 26) that is very behind in condo dues and special assessment in excess of $10k. The city record indicates the owner is a lady. She has been deceased for six years. Her husband lives in the unit and his name was never on the deed both when she was alive and after she passed. We speculate he won't change the deed to his name because he doesn't want to have an asset that someone could go after because of his contruction company. What legal grounds do we have to collect the money and resolve this matter?

Without knowing who the "we" may be in this question, there is no way to
offer a credible response (in my opinion).
