Unpaid Medical Bill

I was married to an abusive man who emotionally broke me down to become physically ill. We went to the hospital, he signed responsible party but never paid the bill, cheated and threw me out. His wages are getting detached and hes threatening he is taking me to small claims court for the money when he pays it off.
