Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Virginia Retirement Overpayment

The Retirement System says that the ypaid me $22.000 more than they should have. I was getting a $120,00 in health cost aid but they are taking that to apply to t he overpayment. Is there anything I can do to waive or ask for a partial wavier? Also, when I die, will my son have to continue paying this?
