Warrant In Debt

What are the consequences for not showing up on your appointed court date? I reside in another state. Plaintiff is trying to recoup their legal fees from a previous case.

If the plaintiff can show that you were properly served with notice of the suit(certainly, not a given), and you've failed to appear(without explanation or reasonable excuse), the court hearing the matter would then likely enter a default judgment against you.

If you fail to appear, then the likely result is that a judgemnt will be entered against you.
