Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
Warrant in debt
I went to my court date to defend a warrant in debt brought about by a law firm on behalf of a loan company. I had paid about 95% of the loan, and just had interest remaining. I missed one payment and they issued a warrant in debt against me.
When it came to my case. Nobody asked me anything, and then the attorney for the company told me that I could go, because it was dismissed.
MY question is, what does that mean??

Re: Warrant in debt
Just that, that the court case against you was apparently dismissed (although you still likely owe whatever remains unpaid on the loan).
