Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Warrant In Debt

I joined credit solutions to try to solve some credit card debt. Then i was served with a warrant in debt for one of the accounts i joined credit solutions for. Its only for $1500. Credit Solutions tried to contact the creditor to work out a payment plan or something but no response. I must be in court in the morning, so i realize its a little late to ask on here. But any help? Can i ask for a continuance to get more time to try to work it out outside of court?

Re: Warrant In Debt

Yes, you would certainly be entitled to ask for at least one continuance in the matter, and it very likely would be granted by the court charged with hearing the matter.
