Warrant in Debt

I live in VA. What is a warrant in debt, how--name removed--will it remain on my credit report and how may it effect my future attempts to get a loan?

A warrant in debt is a court action by a creditor against an alleged debtor to secure an enforceable judgment against the latter. And, yes, if the creditor obtains such a judgment, it can have serious consequences on the judgment debtor's ability to obtain credit in the future.
