Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
warrants for debt
If I am legally divorced, but still have the house in both names ( we are trying to sell it) Can my ex husbands debtors (incurred after he moved out) put leins on the house or take payment from the house?

Re: warrants for debt
If your former husband still owns his half of the property, his judgment creditors could file liens against the property but would not be able to foreclose if you and he still hold title jointly as tenants by the entireties.
