I will be contestng a civil case brought against me in the state of VA for a credit card that I owed money on. I opened the card in 3-2006. What do I submit as my grounds for defense if I do not have the money to pay for it.?

Not being able to pay is not a recognized grounds of defense to this claim. Your efforts should
rather probably focus on disputing the amounts claimed by the creditor and the time frames involved with the alleged charges and whether or not this account may qualify as a so-called "open account" with a statute of limitations of three rather than five years.
